Failure To Attract

On this day of January 11, 2008, Jackson Smith was born.  My nephew.

My god, I’m an uncle.  My mother is a grandmother, and my sister is a mother.  This will take a lot of getting used to!

He was born with a couple of complications, but I am so very happy to report that he’s fine and healthy, weighing a good 8 pounds 5 ounces and 20 inches long at birth.

I don’t have a picture of him just yet, but when I do, I’m going to see if my sister will let me put it up here!  I’m so proud.j
